दि॒वो मू॒र्द्धासि॑ पृथि॒व्या नाभि॒रूर्ग॒पामोष॑धीनाम्। वि॒श्वायुः॒ शर्म॑ स॒प्रथा॒ नम॑स्प॒थे॥५४॥

दिवो मूर्धासि पृथिव्या नाभिरूर्गपामोषधीनाम् । विश्वायुः शर्म सप्रथा नमस्पथे ॥

दिवः। मूर्द्धा। असि। पृथिव्याः। नाभिः। ऊर्क्। अपाम्। ओषधीनाम्। विश्वायुरिति विश्वऽआयुः। शर्म। सप्रथा इति सऽप्रथाः। नमः। पथे॥५४॥
Meaning -
O learned person thou art the heavens head, the Centre of earth, the essence of waters and plants. Thou art the enjoyer of full life of a hundred years, and full of glory. For right guidance be thou full of food and shelter.

Heavens head: Just as the sun is topmost in the sky, so a learned person is foremost in an assembly of educated persons. Centre of earth : A learned person is a central figure in managing the affairs of the State. Essence of waters : Jut as Soma Is the essence of waters and plants, so a learned person is the commander, the head of the people.
