यत्र॑ बा॒णाः स॒म्पत॑न्ति कुमा॒रा वि॑शि॒खाऽइ॑व। तन्न॒ऽइन्द्रो॒ बृह॒स्पति॒रदि॑तिः॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतु वि॒श्वाहा॒ शर्म॑ यच्छतु॥४८॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठयत्र॑। बा॒णाः। सं॒पत॒न्तीति॑ स॒म्ऽपत॑न्ति। कु॒मा॒राः। वि॒शि॒खाऽइ॒वेति॑ विशि॒खाःऽइ॑व। तत्। नः॒। इन्द्रः॑। बृह॒स्पतिः॑। अदि॑तिः। शर्म्म॑। य॒च्छ॒तु॒। वि॒श्वाहा॑। शर्म्म॑। य॒च्छ॒तु॒ ॥४८ ॥

यत्र वाणाः सम्पतन्ति कुमारा विशिखाऽइव । तन्नऽइन्द्रो बृहस्पतिरदितिः शर्म यच्छतु विश्वाहा शर्म यच्छतु ॥

यत्र। बाणाः। संपतन्तीति सम्ऽपतन्ति। कुमाराः। विशिखाऽइवेति विशिखाःऽइव। तत्। नः। इन्द्रः। बृहस्पतिः। अदितिः। शर्म्म। यच्छतु। विश्वाहा। शर्म्म। यच्छतु॥४८॥
Meaning -
There where the flights of arrows fall like boys whose locks are unshorn, may the Commander, the protector of the big army grant us shelter, may the entire Assembly adorned with members, grant us a happy home through all our days.

Like boys : The arrows (all where they list, as boys before the Mundan Sanskar, (tonsure ceremony) play about vigorously wherever they like. Professor Roth separates Visikha from Kumara, and translates where the arrows fly, young and old; that is feathered and unfeathered. Swami Dayananda translates arrows to Bean weapons and arms.
