द्यौरा॑सीत् पू॒र्वचि॑त्ति॒रश्व॑ऽआसीद् बृ॒हद्वयः॑।अवि॑रासीत् पिलिप्पि॒ला रात्रि॑रासीत् पिशङ्गि॒ला॥५४॥

द्यौरासीत्पूर्वचित्तिरऽअश्वऽआसीद्बृहद्वयः । अविरासीत्पिलिप्पिला रात्रिरासीत्पिशङ्गिला ॥

द्यौः। आसीत्। पूर्वचित्तिरिति पूर्वऽचित्तिः। अश्वः। आसीत्। बृहत्। वयः। अविः। आसीत्। पिलिप्पिला। रात्रिः। आसीत्। पिशङ्गिला॥५४॥
Meaning -
Heaven, light, i. e. , divine vibration of thought energy is the first original step in creation. Mahat, the first mutation of original Prakriti, was the great womb of the forms of creation. Manifested Prakriti is the finest pliant material for creation. Pralaya, the night of annihilation devours the universe.
