Meaning -
O God, we invoke Thee, for the protection of the beautiful, non-violent and immortal soul. May Thou be manifested in our hearts by the learned.
Translator Comment -
Griffith translates Maruts as the gods of wind and storm, the special friends and allies of lndra. Pt. Jaidev Vidyalankar translates the word as learned persons or breaths. If we take the word to mean breaths then the latter part of the verse will mean, that God is attainable through Pranayam and Yoga.
