Purport -
O men! desirous of worldly happiness and salvation. We have a keen desire intent eagerness to know and realise the Supreme Soul. We ask ourselves as to when we will attain Him? He is the Lord of the whole universe, and desires to create the world and creates it. This world is two fold i.e. animate and inanimate. He is the Protector and Sustainer of this two types of the world. There is none else who may be full of knowledge, bestower of knowledge and giver of satisfaction. We intensely invoke Him for our protection.
Just as God is our nourisher, He is the Saviour and Promoter of our riches and wisdom. He is our Benefactor-Reliever from adversity. He is our Protector, devoid of causing injury to any being. Hence O ye people of the world! Do not neglect and forget that Lord who is formless and Bestower of divine bliss. Without attaing Him one cannot derive happiness and bliss from anywhere else.
