वाय॑ उ॒क्थेभि॑र्जरन्ते॒ त्वामच्छा॑ जरि॒तारः॑। सु॒तसो॑मा अह॒र्विदः॑॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठवायो॒ इति॑ । उ॒क्थेभिः॑ । ज॒र॒न्ते॒ । त्वाम् । अच्छ॑ । ज॒रि॒तारः॑ । सु॒तऽसो॑माः । अ॒हः॒ऽविदः॑ ॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
वाय उक्थेभिर्जरन्ते त्वामच्छा जरितारः। सुतसोमा अहर्विदः॥

Subject of the mantra - How are aforesaid God and physical fire able to be worshipped, such has been preached in this mantra.
Etymology and English translation based on Anvaya (logical connection of words) of Maharshi Dayanad Saraswati (M.D.S)- -
He=O, (vāyo) =Omnipotent God, (aharvidaḥ) =recipient of illuminating distinctive knowledge, (sutasomāḥ)=by knowledge of extracting juice from herbs, (jaritāraḥ)=those scholars, praising and being hospitable, (ukthebhiḥ)=by hymns of Vedas, (tvām)=your, (accha)= to have an intuitive perception or manifestation, (jarante)=praise.
English Translation (K.K.V.) -
O Omnipotent, recipient of illuminating and distinctive knowledge God! By knowledge of extracting juice from herbs, those scholars praising and being hospitable by hymns of Vedas, praise you to have an intuitive perception or manifestation.

There is paronomasia as figurative in this mantra. Through this mantra which has doxology for the praises spoken in the Vedas, the qualities of both the Supreme God and the material air have been promulgated for the attainment of spiritual knowledge.
