दि॒वस्पृ॑थि॒व्याः पर्य॒न्तरि॑क्षा॒द्वन॒स्पति॑भ्यो॒ अध्योष॑धीभ्यः। यत्र॑यत्र॒ विभृ॑तो जा॒तवे॑दा॒स्तत॑ स्तु॒तो जु॒षमा॑णो न॒ एहि॑ ॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठदि॒वः। पृ॒थि॒व्याः। परि॑। अ॒न्तरि॑क्षात्। वन॒स्पति॑ऽभ्यः। अधि॑। ओष॑धीभ्यः। यत्र॑ऽयत्र। विऽभृ॑तः। जा॒तऽवे॑दाः। ततः॑। स्तु॒तः। जु॒षमा॑णः। नः॒। आ। इ॒हि॒ ॥३.१॥

दिवस्पृथिव्याः पर्यन्तरिक्षाद्वनस्पतिभ्यो अध्योषधीभ्यः। यत्रयत्र विभृतो जातवेदास्तत स्तुतो जुषमाणो न एहि ॥

Translation -
O electricity, the self-illumined and the illuminating of other, wheresoever you are borne, contained, being fit to be used by us come to us thence, from the heavens, from earth, from the atmosphere, from trees and from herbs.

(1-2) The verse instructs man to make use of electric power from all sources enumerated herein. When we compare modern developments, they would appear but a drop before the vast ocean thrown open to man by this verse.
