अथर्ववेद - काण्ड 20/ सूक्त 139/ मन्त्र 1
आ नू॒नम॑श्विना यु॒वं व॒त्सस्य॑ गन्त॒मव॑से। प्रास्मै॑ यच्छतमवृ॒कं पृथु छ॒र्दिर्यु॑यु॒तं या अरा॑तयः ॥

आ नूनमश्विना युवं वत्सस्य गन्तमवसे। प्रास्मै यच्छतमवृकं पृथु छर्दिर्युयुतं या अरातयः ॥

Translation -
O Parents; teacher and preacher; prana and apana; the king and commander; the sun and the moon; air and water; fire and water; electricity and air; electricity and water; etc., let all of you paired groups, come for the [protection of the people, well-settled in the state and devoted to it and [provide them with an ample shelter, free from violence and danger from [thieves or dacoits, and drive away all those, who are troublesome agitators.
