अथर्ववेद - काण्ड 20/ सूक्त 89/ मन्त्र 1
अस्ते॑व॒ सु प्र॑त॒रं लाय॒मस्य॒न्भूष॑न्निव॒ प्र भ॑रा॒ स्तोम॑मस्मै। वा॒चा वि॑प्रास्तरत॒ वाच॑म॒र्यो नि रा॑मय जरितः॒ सोम॒ इन्द्र॑म् ॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठअस्ता॑ऽइव । सु । प्र॒ऽत॒रम् । लाय॑म् । अस्य॑न् । भूष॑न्ऽइव । प्र । भ॒र॒ । स्तोम॑म् ॥ अ॒स्मै॒ । वा॒चा । वि॒प्रा॒: । त॒र॒त॒ । वाच॑म् । अ॒र्य: । नि । र॒म॒य॒ । ज॒रि॒त॒रिति॑ । सोमे॑ । इन्द्र॑म् ॥८९.१॥

अस्तेव सु प्रतरं लायमस्यन्भूषन्निव प्र भरा स्तोममस्मै। वाचा विप्रास्तरत वाचमर्यो नि रामय जरितः सोम इन्द्रम् ॥

Translation -
O devoted, learned person, just as the cow is secured for the purpose of mi Idling, similarly attain to the Radiant and the Omnipresent One to drink, deep the spiritual bliss, and fully bestir thyself to the realization of the Glorious Lord, thy Friend and Destroyer of all traces of evil and ignorance, and be in complete unison with the Giver of fortunes, the Refuge of all and the Remover of all difficulties, just as the treasury, filled with all sorts of riches is sought after for fame and fortune.
