    यस्मा॒न्न जा॒तः परो॑ऽअ॒न्योऽअस्ति॒ यऽआ॑वि॒वेश॒ भुव॑नानि॒ विश्वा॑। प्र॒जाप॑तिः प्र॒जया॑ सꣳररा॒णस्त्रीणि॒ ज्योती॑षि सचते॒ स षो॑ड॒शी॥३६॥

    यस्मा॑त्। न। जा॒तः। परः॑। अ॒न्यः। अस्ति॑। यः। आ॒वि॒वेशेत्या॑ऽवि॒वेश॑। भुव॑नानि। विश्वा॑। प्र॒जाप॑ति॒रिति॑ प्र॒जाऽप॑तिः। प्र॒जयेति॑ प्र॒ऽजया॑। स॒र॒रा॒ण इति॑ सम्ऽर॒रा॒णः। त्रीणि॑। ज्योति॑षि। स॒च॒ते॒। सः। षो॒ड॒शी ॥३६॥

    यस्मन्न जातः परोऽअन्योऽअस्ति यऽआविवेश भुवनानि विश्वा । प्रजापतिः प्रजया सँरराणस्त्रीणि ज्योतीँषि सचते स षोडशी ॥

    यस्मात्। न। जातः। परः। अन्यः। अस्ति। यः। आविवेशेत्याऽविवेश। भुवनानि। विश्वा। प्रजापतिरिति प्रजाऽपतिः। प्रजयेति प्रऽजया। सरराण इति सम्ऽरराणः। त्रीणि। ज्योतिषि। सचते। सः। षोडशी॥३६॥

    Acknowledgment

    Purport -

    Greater than Him, equal to Him or superior to Him there has never been, neither is, nor shall ever be, hence He may be rightly called the God Almighty. He enters and pervades all spheres, all the objects and innumerable places of habitation. He is the Lord of all creatures. He abides [rests] in all creatures and amuses them all. He has created three lights i.e. fire, lightning and the sun. All these three should be considered as principal means for acquiring a knowledge of physical sciences and worldly behaviour.

    God has created sixteen skills [qualities or arts], therefore, He is called the Lord of sixteen skills. These sixteen skills are-1. Iksana-Reflection [Deliberation, proper thought] 2. Prana-Vitality, 3. Śradha-faith, 4. Akasa-space, 5. Vayu-air, 6. Agni-fire, 7. Jala-water, 8. Pithivi-earth, 9. Indriya-sense-organs, 10. Mana-the mind, 11. Anna-food, 12. Virya-vigour, 13. Tapa= penance, 14. Mantra-Vedic Hymns, 15. Karma-efforts [motion] and 16. Loka and Nama-the world and the names ka and NamaE' (13) in the world.

    The whole world is within these Kalas-qualities or skills. There are infinite skills in God. He who forgetting His worship, adores any other object, being or thing in His place, cannont attain peace and happiness, but he is always plunged in troubles, pains and sorrows.
