सूक्तम् - यक्षविबर्हण
अङ्गेअ॑ङ्गे॒ लोम्नि॑लोम्नि॒ यस्ते॒ पर्व॑णिपर्वणि। यक्ष्मं॑ त्वच॒स्यं॑ ते व॒यं क॒श्यप॑स्य वीब॒र्हेण॒ विष्व॑ञ्चं॒ वि वृ॑हामसि ॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठअङ्गे॑ऽअङ्गे । लोम्नि॑ऽलोम्नि । य: । ते॒ । पर्व॑णिऽपर्वणि । यक्ष्म॑म् । त्व॒च॒स्य᳡म् । ते॒ । व॒यम् । क॒श्यप॑स्य । वि॒ऽब॒र्हेण॑ । विष्व॑ञ्चम् । वि । वृ॒हा॒म॒सि॒ ॥३३.७॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
अङ्गेअङ्गे लोम्निलोम्नि यस्ते पर्वणिपर्वणि। यक्ष्मं त्वचस्यं ते वयं कश्यपस्य वीबर्हेण विष्वञ्चं वि वृहामसि ॥

Translation -
In every member, every hair, in every joint wherein it lies, we under the medical advice of an experienced, able doctor, drive far away consumption settled in thy skin, and all parts of the body. [1]

[1] Griffith describes Kashyapa to be a Rishi and father of Vivriba. This explanation is inadmissible, as there is no history in the Vedas. How beautifully, the eradication of disease from each and every part of the body has been described in this hymn to lead a healthy life is the ideal of " the vedas. We should avail of medical science to maintain health.
