देवता - प्रजापतिरिन्द्रो वा
छन्दः - अनुष्टुप्
सूक्तम् - कुन्ताप सूक्त
यश्च॑ प॒णि रघु॑जि॒ष्ठ्यो यश्च॑ दे॒वाँ अदा॑शुरिः। धीरा॑णां॒ शश्व॑ताम॒हं तद॑पा॒गिति॑ शुश्रुम ॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठय: । च॑ । प॒णि । रघु॑जि॒ष्ठ्य: । य: । च॑ । दे॒वान् । अदा॑शुरि: ॥ धीरा॑णा॒म् । शश्व॑ताम् । अ॒हम् । तत् । अ॑पा॒क् । इति॑ । शुश्रुम ॥१२८.४॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
यश्च पणि रघुजिष्ठ्यो यश्च देवाँ अदाशुरिः। धीराणां शश्वतामहं तदपागिति शुश्रुम ॥

Translation -
The person, who Iacks vision of discrimination like the unointed eye, who is not charming and healthy, like the unointed body, who is virtue less like the unornamented who is poor and lusterless, like the goldless, who is ignorant the vedic lore and devotion of God in spite of his being the son or disciple of a Brahman, all these persons are regarded as of the same category in the procedure of actions.

Here in this sukta the use of various directions is made to shows the level of a person with certain qualities or drawbacks, in the society. Griffith’s translation of “तोता कल्पेषु संमिता” by “these things are orderdered in the rules” has no relevancy here.
