मा॒ता च॒ ते पि॒ता च॒ तेऽग॑रे वृ॒क्षस्य॑ क्रीडतः। विव॑क्षतऽइव ते॒ मुखं॒ ब्रह्म॒न्मा त्वं व॑दो ब॒हु॥२५॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठमा॒ता। च॒। ते॒। पि॒ता। च॒। ते॒। अग्रे॑। वृ॒क्षस्य॑। क्री॒ड॒तः॒। विव॑क्षतऽइ॒वेति॑ विव॑क्षतःऽइव। ते॒। मुख॑म्। ब्रह्म॑न्। मा। त्वम्। व॒दः॒। ब॒हु ॥२५ ॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
माता च ते पिता च ते ग्रे वृक्षस्य क्रीडतः । विवक्षतऽइव ते मुखम्ब्रह्मन्मा त्वँवदो बहु ॥

माता। च। ते। पिता। च। ते। अग्रे। वृक्षस्य। क्रीडतः। विवक्षतऽइवेति विवक्षतःऽइव। ते। मुखम्। ब्रह्मन्। मा। त्वम्। वदः। बहु॥२५॥
Meaning -
O master of all the four Vedas, thy mother patient like the Earth, and thy father shining like the Sun, enjoy with knowledge and grandeur the mastery of the universe. Thy mouth is eager to speak, but thou shouldst not talk much.

A learned person should not talk much without purpose. He should follow the maxim Speech is silver, silence is gold. Too much talking is not a sign of wisdom.
