अथर्ववेद - काण्ड 20/ सूक्त 16/ मन्त्र 2
सं गोभि॑रङ्गिर॒सो नक्ष॑माणो॒ भग॑ इ॒वेद॑र्य॒मणं॑ निनाय। जने॑ मि॒त्रो न दम्प॑ती अनक्ति॒ बृह॑स्पते वा॒जया॒शूँरि॑वा॒जौ ॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठसम् । गोभि॑: । आ॒ङ्गि॒र॒स: । नक्ष॑माण: । भग॑:ऽइव । इत् । अ॒र्य॒मण॑म् । नि॒ना॒य॒ ॥ जने॑ । मि॒त्र: । न । दम्प॑ती॒ इति॒ दम्ऽप॑ती । अ॒न॒क्ति॒ । बृह॑स्पते । वा॒जय॑ । आ॒शून्ऽइ॑व । आ॒जौ ॥१६.२॥

Meaning -
Just as Angirasa, enlightened disciple of the sage of living knowledge, as Bhaga, divine lord of light and grandeur, leads his friend to knowledge and prosperity, as a friend leads a couple in the community to come together in marriage, so O Brhaspati, inspire and energise the aspirants to go forward and win their goal by the light and words of divinity.2.
