आ ज॑ङ्घन्ति॒ सान्वे॑षां ज॒घनाँ॒२ऽउप॑ जिघ्नते।अश्वा॑जनि॒ प्रचे॑त॒सोऽश्वा॑न्त्स॒मत्सु॑ चोदय॥५०॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठआ। ज॒ङ्घ॒न्ति॒। सानु॑। ए॒षा॒म्। ज॒घना॑न्। उप॑। जि॒घ्न॒ते॒। अश्वा॑ज॒नीत्यश्व॑ऽजनि। प्रचे॑तस॒ इति॒ प्रऽचे॑तसः। अश्वा॑न्। स॒मत्स्विति॑ स॒मत्ऽसु॑। चो॒द॒य॒ ॥५० ॥

आजङ्घन्ति सान्वेषाञ्जघनाँऽउप जिघ्नते । अश्वाजनि प्रचेतसो श्वान्त्समत्सु चोदय ॥

आ। जङ्घन्ति। सानु। एषाम्। जघनान्। उप। जिघ्नते। अश्वाजनीत्यश्वऽजनि। प्रचेतस इति प्रऽचेतसः। अश्वान्। समत्स्विति समत्ऽसु। चोदय॥५०॥
Translation -
It is the whip, with which the skilful charioteers lash the thighs and scourge the flanks of the steeds; may it urge the horses in battles to march on. (1)
Notes -
The whip is praised here. Aśvājani, कशे, O whip for horses! Sānuni, मांसोपचितानि अंगानि, fleshy parts: thighs. Jaghanän, flanks; haunches. Samatsu, संग्रामेषु, in battles.
