यद्गा॑य॒त्रे अधि॑ गाय॒त्रमाहि॑तं॒ त्रैष्टु॑भं वा॒ त्रैष्टु॑भान्नि॒रत॑क्षत। यद्वा॒ जग॒ज्जग॒त्याहि॑तं प॒दं य इत्तद्वि॒दुस्ते अ॑मृत॒त्वमा॑नशुः ॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठयत् । गा॒य॒त्रे । अधि॑ । गा॒य॒त्रम् । आऽहि॑तम् । त्रैस्तु॑भम् । वा॒ । त्रैस्तु॑भात् । नि॒:ऽअत॑क्षत । यत् । वा॒ । जग॑त् । जग॑ति । आऽहि॑तम् । प॒दम् । ये । इत् । तत् । वि॒दु: । ते । अ॒मृ॒त॒ऽत्वम् । आ॒न॒शु॒: ॥१५.१॥

यद्गायत्रे अधि गायत्रमाहितं त्रैष्टुभं वा त्रैष्टुभान्निरतक्षत। यद्वा जगज्जगत्याहितं पदं य इत्तद्विदुस्ते अमृतत्वमानशुः ॥
स्वर रहित पद पाठयत् । गायत्रे । अधि । गायत्रम् । आऽहितम् । त्रैस्तुभम् । वा । त्रैस्तुभात् । नि:ऽअतक्षत । यत् । वा । जगत् । जगति । आऽहितम् । पदम् । ये । इत् । तत् । विदु: । ते । अमृतऽत्वम् । आनशु: ॥१५.१॥

Translation -
[N.B. : In this hymn the mystery of the cosmic order has been exploded,. The world has a very close chanection with the vedic words, Chandas and samans. The world order has been maintained by the Lord of the universe with the Vedic terms Chanda etc. Says Vyasa, in his treatise called as the Brahmasutra-Atah prablanat, ie this world is created by the Lord of Universe with the Vedic words. The commentators of this Brahmasutra refer to the Mantra of Samveda (IV.20, 10, 1) which also happens in the Rigveda—Ate asri-gramindavah etc. In this quoted verse it has been said that with the words of-these veres the Lord of the universe created the worldly objects.] Taithriya Brahmana says—Bhurititi Vai prajapatih imanajanayat Bhva it anterikhaam etc (2/2/4/2) i.e-the Lord of the universe thought in his mind the term Bauh and, created this earth and respectively in this way created the firmament and heavenly region with the words Bhuvah and svah. Thus this hymn describes this fact very beautifully.] [Whatever is Gayatri, the fire etc was based on the Gayatra, the Gayatri meter—whatever was Traistubha, the air etc was created from Tristubh; whatever was called jagat. the heavenly region was based on jagati metre; those who know this mystery attain immortality, i. e. salvation.
