यान्युलूखलमुसलानि ग्रावाण एव ते ॥

Translation -
Just as the pestle and mortar are for the householders to prepare food for the learned guests, so are religious sermons for the hermits.

Learned guests: Atithis just as the householders by grinding eatables with pestle and mortar prepare food, so do the hermits through penance preach religious sermons.
