यजुर्वेद - अध्याय 11/ मन्त्र 72
प॒र॒मस्याः॑ परा॒वतो॑ रो॒हिद॑श्वऽइ॒हाग॑हि। पु॒री॒ष्यः पुरुप्रि॒योऽग्ने॒ त्वं त॑रा॒ मृधः॑॥७२॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठप॒र॒मस्याः॑। प॒रा॒वत॒ इति॑ परा॒ऽवतः॑। रो॒हिद॑श्व॒ इति॑ रो॒हित्ऽअ॑श्वः। इ॒ह। आ। ग॒हि॒। पु॒री॒ष्यः᳖। पु॒रु॒प्रि॒य इति॑ पुरुऽप्रि॒यः। अग्ने॑। त्वम्। त॒र॒। मृधः॑ ॥७२ ॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
परमस्याः परावतो रोहिदश्वऽइहा गहि । पुरीष्यः पुरुप्रियोग्ने त्वन्तरा मृधः ॥
स्वर रहित पद पाठ
परमस्याः। परावत इति पराऽवतः। रोहिदश्व इति रोहित्ऽअश्वः। इह। आ। गहि। पुरीष्यः। पुरुप्रिय इति पुरुऽप्रियः। अग्ने। त्वम्। तर। मृधः॥७२॥
Meaning -
O learned and dignified husband, lord of conveyances propelled by fire, excellent in affording protection, loved by many, come hitherward from the farthest distance, for marrying this beautiful renowned and well behaved girl, and overcome our foes along with her.
