तस्मा॑द्य॒ज्ञात् स॑र्व॒हुतः॒ सम्भृ॑तं पृषदा॒ज्यम्।प॒शूँस्ताँश्च॑क्रे वाय॒व्यानार॒ण्या ग्रा॒म्याश्च॒ ये॥६॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठतस्मा॑त्। य॒ज्ञात्। स॒र्व॒हुत॒ इति॑ सर्व॒ऽहुतः॑। सम्भृ॑त॒मिति॒ सम्ऽभृ॑तम्। पृ॒ष॒दा॒ज्यमिति॑ पृषत्ऽआ॒ज्यम्। प॒शून्। तान्। च॒क्रे॒। वा॒य॒व्या᳖न्। आ॒र॒ण्याः। ग्रा॒म्याः। च॒। ये ॥६ ॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
तस्माद्यज्ञात्सर्वहुतः सम्भृतम्पृषदाज्यम् । पशूँस्ताँश्चक्रे वायव्यानारण्या ग्राम्याश्च ये ॥
स्वर रहित पद पाठ
तस्मात्। यज्ञात्। सर्वहुत इति सर्वऽहुतः। सम्भृतमिति सम्ऽभृतम्। पृषदाज्यमिति पृषत्ऽआज्यम्। पशून्। तान्। चक्रे। वायव्यान्। आरण्याः। ग्राम्याः। च। ये॥६॥
Meaning -
From that great God, adorable by all, were created curd and clarified butter. He creates the wild and tame animals swift like air.

Wild animals of the forest, like lion, and tame animals of the village like cow, which are quick in motion like the air have been created by God. The word वायव्यान् has been translated by some as bird of air, but Rishi Dayananda translates it as fast like air. अन्न हि पृषदाज्यम् शतo 3-8-4-8. According to Shatpath Brahmana पृषदाज्यम् may also mean food.
