    द्यौः शान्ति॑र॒न्तरि॑क्ष॒ꣳ शान्तिः॑ पृथि॒वी शान्ति॒रापः॒ शान्ति॒रोषध॑यः॒ शान्तिः॑। वन॒स्पत॑यः॒ शान्ति॒र्विश्वे॑ दे॒वाः शान्ति॒र्ब्रह्म॒ शान्तिः॒ सर्व॒ꣳ शान्तिः॒ शान्ति॑रे॒व शान्तिः॒ सा मा॒ शान्ति॑रेधि॥१७॥

    द्यौः शान्तिरन्तरिक्षँ शान्तिः पृथिवी शान्तिरापः शान्तिरोषधयः शान्तिः । वनस्पतयः शान्तिर्विश्वे देवाः शान्तिर्ब्रह्म शान्तिः सर्वँ शान्तिः शान्तिरेव शान्तिः सा मा शान्तिरेधि ॥

    Acknowledgment

    Purport -

    Pacifier of all miseries and troubles O God! The firmament [heavenly world, sky, celestial region] which is beyond all the planetary bodies should always be peaceful, free from troubles and a source of happiness and comforts to us. The middle region [the space inbetween heaven and the earth] and the air etc. which there in it, the earth and its objects, their properties with it its objects, the medicinal herbs, vegetables with all their properties, should be quiet, calm, without trouble, bestower of peace and conducive to our well-being by your grace. All the learned persons of the of world, Vedic hymns which and their world, the sense-organs, the sun, its swaters with re properties should by Your grace be peaceful, calm and bestower of happiness for us.

    O Omnipotent Supreme Soul! By your grace the whole world- subtle and and all its objects by your grace be always peaceful, favourable and peace-giving. O God! By your grace, I should acquire that calmness by which I may be peaceful and free from evil passions like anger etc. May all living beings of this world be also free form evil passions like lust, anger etc.
