सूक्तम् - हृद्रोगकामलाशन सूक्त
या रोहि॑णीर्देव॒त्या॑३ गावो॒ या उ॒त रोहि॑णीः। रू॒पंरू॑पं॒ वयो॑वय॒स्ताभि॑ष्ट्वा॒ परि॑ दध्मसि ॥

या रोहिणीर्देवत्या३ गावो या उत रोहिणीः। रूपंरूपं वयोवयस्ताभिष्ट्वा परि दध्मसि ॥

Translation -
The efficacious ruddy rays of the sun and the medicinal herbs that exist with their diverse beauty and diverse power we compass thee about.
Footnote -
We refers to the physicians, and “thee” to the patient. The physicians cure the patient by exposing him to the highly useful morning rays of the sun, and giving him red medicinal herbs, the use of which lends beauty and strength to the patient. Griffith considers the meaning of the word Devatya as uncertain. Weber translates the word as divine powers’. The St. Petersburg Dictionary leaves the word unexplained with the remark that animals of some kind must be intended. The word means/full of good qualities.’
