एक॑यास्तुवत प्र॒जाऽ अ॑धीयन्त प्र॒जाप॑ति॒रधि॑पतिरासीत्। ति॒सृभि॑रस्तुवत॒ ब्रह्मा॑सृज्यत॒ ब्रह्म॑ण॒स्पति॒रधि॑पतिरासीत्। प॒ञ्चभि॑रस्तुवत भू॒तान्य॑सृज्यन्त भू॒तानां॒ पति॒रधि॑पतिरासीत्। स॒प्तभि॑रस्तुवत सप्तऽ ऋ॒षयो॑ऽसृज्यन्त धा॒ताधि॑पतिरासीत्॥२८॥

एकयास्तुवत प्रजाऽअधीयन्त प्रजापतिरधिपतिरासीत्तिसृभिरस्तुवत ब्रह्मासृज्यत ब्रह्मणस्पतिरधिपतिरासीत्पञ्चभिरस्तुवत भूतान्यसृज्यन्त भूतानाम्पतिरधिपतिरासीत्सप्तभिरस्तुवत सप्तऽऋषयो सृज्यन्त धाताधिपतिरासीत् ॥

एकया। अस्तुवत। प्रजा इति प्रऽजाः। अधीयन्त। प्रजापतिरिति प्रजाऽपतिः। अधिपतिरित्यधिऽपतिः। आसीत्। तिसृभिरिति तिसृऽभिः। अस्तुवत। ब्रह्म। असृज्यत। ब्रह्मणः। पतिः। अधिपतिरित्यधिऽपतिः। आसीत्। पञ्चभिरिति पञ्चऽभिः। अस्तुवत। भूतानि। असृज्यन्त। भूतानाम्। पतिः। अधिपतिरित्यधिऽपतिः। आसीत्। सप्तभिरिति सप्तऽभिः। अस्तुवत। सप्तऋषय इति सप्तऋषयः। असृज्यन्त। धाता। अधिपतिरित्यधिऽपतिः। आसीत्॥२८॥
Translation -
He is praised with one; the creatures are created; the creator Lord is their sovereign. (1) He is praised with three; the intellectual power is created; the Lord of the intellectual power is its sovereign. (2) He is praised with five; the cosmic elements are created; Lord of the elements is their sovereign. (3) He is praised with seven; the seven seers are created; the creator of the universe is their sovereign. (4)
Notes -
Ekaya, वाग् एका तया , the speech is one, with that. Tisrbhih, with three त्रयो वै प्राणा:, प्राणोदानव्याना:, with in-breath, up-breath and through-breath. Pancabhihपंचभि: प्राणै, , with five vital breaths; pràána, арапа, иййпа, уудпа and samdna. Saptabhih,सप्तभि: श्रोत्रचक्षुर्नासावाग्रूपै:, with seven, two ears, two eyes, two nostrils and the speech. Navabhih, सप्त शिर: प्राणा: द्वावध: इति नव प्राणै:, with nine, seven vital breaths of head and two below, i. e. nine vital breaths. नव वै प्राणा: सप्तशेर्षन्नवांचौ द्वौ तै:' (Satapatha, VIII. 4. 3. 7). Ekadasabhih, दश प्राणा: आत्मैकादश: ten vital breaths and the eleventh the Self. (Ibid. VIII. 4. 3. 8) Trayedagabhih, दश प्राणा: द्वे प्रतिष्ठे आत्मा त्रयोदश:: ten vital breaths, two feet and thirteenth the Self. (Ibid, VIII. 4. 3. 9) Paficadagabhih, दशहस्त्या अंगुल्य: चत्वारि दोर्बाह्वाणि यदूर्ध्वं नभेस्तत् पन्चदशनम्, ten fingers of two hands, two forearms, two upper arms, and fifteenth the part above the navel. (Ibid, VIII. 4. 3. 10). Saptadaéabhih, दश पाद्या अंगुलयश्चत्वार्यूर्वष्ठीवानि द्वे प्रतिष्ठे यदवान्नाधेस्तत् सप्तदशम्, ten toes of two feet, two thighs, two knees, two feet, and seventeenth the part below the navel. (Ibid, VIII. 4. 3. 11). .
