अघाय॒तामपि॑ नह्या॒ मुखा॑नि स॒पत्ने॑षु॒ वज्र॑मर्पयै॒तम्। इन्द्रे॑ण द॒त्ता प्र॑थ॒मा श॒तौद॑ना भ्रातृव्य॒घ्नी यज॑मानस्य गा॒तुः ॥

स्वर रहित मन्त्र
अघायतामपि नह्या मुखानि सपत्नेषु वज्रमर्पयैतम्। इन्द्रेण दत्ता प्रथमा शतौदना भ्रातृव्यघ्नी यजमानस्य गातुः ॥

Translation -
[N.B.: In this hymn we find the description of Cow which has been called Shataudana. The term Shataudama described the multifarious preparations of the milk of Cow. Those who think that Cow would be prepared in hundred kinds of food are wrong. Cow is not to be killed as it is Aghnya. Its meat is not eatable as it creates tuber-culosis. So to prepare hundreds of dishes from cow is absurd. Odana means pouring or sprinkling. In hundred ways the Cow’s milk is poured or sprinkled in food etc. Milk produces curd, butter, ghee and other preparations made from them. Therefore it should be taken here correctly that hundred kinds of drinks and eatable can be prepared from the milk of cow. Cow is Shataudana because its milk is the source of hundred kinds of preparations. Cow is also Shataudana as its milk gives hundred preparations for yajna.]O King! bind the mouth of the enemies and cast Deadly weapon against the foes. The Shataudana (whose milk used in hundred kinds of preparations) first given by Indra, the Almighty Lord is the destroyer of foes-like diseases and is the pathway of Yajmana, the performer of yajna.
