रुचं॑ नो धेहि ब्राह्म॒णेषु॒ रुच॒ꣳ राज॑सु नस्कृधि। रुचं॒ विश्ये॑षु शू॒द्रेषु॒ मयि॑ धेहि रु॒चा रुच॑म्॥४८॥

स्वर रहित मन्त्र
रुचन्नो धेहि ब्राह्मणेषु रुचँ राजसु नस्कृधि । रुचँविश्येषु शूद्रेषु मयि धेहि रुचा रुचम् ॥

Translation -
О Lord, bestow lustre on our intellectuals; bestow lustre on our ruler-administrators; bestow. lustre on our producers of wealth as well as on our labour community. May you bestow lustre on me through your own lustre. (1)
Notes -
Bestow lustre on the Brāhmaṇas (intellectuals) in our society, on the Ksatriyas (warrior-administrators), on the Vaisyas (entrepreneurs) and the Sūdras (labourers). Sūdras are not to be lustreless, not to be deprecated.
