सूक्तम् - यक्ष्मारोगनाशन सूक्त
अश्म॑न्वती रीयते॒ सं र॑भध्वं वी॒रय॑ध्वं॒ प्र त॑रता सखायः। अत्रा॑ जहीत॒ ये अस॑न्दु॒रेवा॑ अनमी॒वानुत्त॑रेमाभि॒ वाजा॑न् ॥

स्वर रहित मन्त्र
अश्मन्वती रीयते सं रभध्वं वीरयध्वं प्र तरता सखायः। अत्रा जहीत ये असन्दुरेवा अनमीवानुत्तरेमाभि वाजान् ॥

Translation -
O friends, this world is a stream full of impediments and struggles, work in cooperation, have courage, cross it struggling hard. Throw in it the burden of your sins, and let us enjoy food free from disease!
Footnote -
This verse preaches that life is a struggle. Success in it depends upon cooperation, courage, hard work, and nobility of character. Griffith interprets it, as if a corpse is being carried to the burial ground and a stony stream is to be crossed in the way. Sorry Griffith has not been able to understand the lofty significance of the verse. See Rig 10-53-8, Yajur, 35-10.
