ते हि पु॒त्रासो॒ऽअदि॑तेः॒ प्र जी॒वसे॒ मर्त्या॑य। ज्योति॒र्यच्छ॒न्त्यज॑स्रम्॥३३॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठते। हि। पु॒त्रासः॑। अदि॑तेः। प्र। जी॒वसे॑। मर्त्या॑य। ज्योतिः॑। यच्छ॑न्ति। अज॑स्रम् ॥३३॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
ते हि पुत्रासो अदितेः प्र जीवसे मर्त्याय । ज्योतिर्यच्छन्त्यजस्रम् ॥

ते। हि। पुत्रासः। अदितेः। प्र। जीवसे। मर्त्याय। ज्योतिः। यच्छन्ति। अजस्रम्॥३३॥
Meaning -
They, the sons of indestructible matter, bestow eternal light upon man for his life and death.

Aditi has been interpreted differently. It means (1) Earth (2) Matter (3) Veda (4) Forces of Nature. अदितिरिति वाङ्नाम I निघं० 6-5-2-5. वाग्वा अदिति। श० 6-5-2-5 Ed according to Nighantu and Shatapath Aditi means वेदविद्या They refers to Mitra, Aryama and Varuna, i. e. , the air, the sun and the water. They are the sons of Matter, as they protect mankind from misery. 33 is one who helps his parents in crossing the ocean of worldly miseries. As air, sun, and water help mankind to overcome difficulties and physical infirmities, they are hence named as sons of Nature.
