ये च॑ जी॒वा येच॑ मृ॒ता ये जा॒ता ये च॑ य॒ज्ञियाः॑। तेभ्यो॑ घृ॒तस्य॑ कु॒ल्यैतु॒ मधु॑धाराव्युन्द॒ती ॥
स्वर सहित पद पाठये । च॒ । जी॒वा: । ये । च॒ । मृ॒ता: । ये । जा॒ता: । ये । च॒ । य॒ज्ञिया॑: । तेभ्य॑: । घृ॒तस्य॑ । कु॒ल्या॑ । ए॒तु॒ । मधु॑ऽधारा । वि॒ऽउ॒द॒न्ती ॥४.५७॥
स्वर रहित मन्त्र
ये च जीवा येच मृता ये जाता ये च यज्ञियाः। तेभ्यो घृतस्य कुल्यैतु मधुधाराव्युन्दती ॥

Translation -
May the sweet streams of clarified butter and other invigorating and energizing provisions flow out to those, whoever are living, whoever are dead, whoever are born and whoever are sacrifice-minded.
Footnote -
All the four kinds of people, i.e., the living, the dead, the born and the sacrificers need the abundance of clarified butter and other provisions. The dead for the cremation of their bodies according to Vedic rites. The verse refers to a life of prosperity and abundance and not of penury and shortages also see 18.3.72.
