नमो॒ वात्या॑य च॒ रेष्म्या॑य च॒ नमो॑ वास्त॒व्याय च वास्तु॒पाय॑ च॒ नमः॒ सोमा॑य च रु॒द्राय॑ च॒ नम॑स्ता॒म्राय॑ चारु॒णाय॑ च॥३९॥

नमो वात्याय च रेष्म्याय च नमो वास्तव्याय च वास्तुपाय च नमः सोमाय च रुद्राय च नमस्ताम्राय चारुणाय च नमः शङ्गवे ॥

नमः। वात्याय। च। रेष्म्याय। च। नमः। वास्तव्याय। च। वास्तुपायेति वास्तुऽपाय। च। नमः। सोमाय। च। रुद्राय। च। नमः। ताम्राय। च। अरुणाय। च॥३९॥
Translation -
Our homage be to Him, who rules over winds; (1) and rules over tornadoes. (2) Our homage be to Him, who rules over buildings; (3) and is the protector of buildings. (4) Our homage be to the blissful Lord; (5) and to terrible punisher. (6) Our homage be to the scarlet-coloured; (7) and to the reddish one (8)
Notes -
Reşmyāya, रिष्यन्ते नश्यन्ति भूतानि येन, स रेष्मा हिंस्रो वात:, the killer wind due to which animals perish, a tornado; to him who rules over that. Västu, buildings. Rudra, the terrible. Soma, the blissful. Tāmraḥ, scarlet, bright red. Arunaḥ, light red. Mahidhara interprets these two as उदयद्रविरूपः उदयोत्तरकालीनरूपः सूर्यः, the rising sun, and the sun after the sunrise; Rudra in the form of these two.
